Want to make a difference in the community? Do you have a dog, cat, or rabbit that is good with people? Sign your pet up for pet therapy or for pet visits.
Once a week in the colder months, I take my grey and white cat, Boo, to visit a nursing home in the city. Oh how the seniors’ faces light up when they see him! They may have lost their ability to live independently, but they did not lose their love for animals. They miss having pets.
Pets have the ability to cheer people up (better than some people can). They also have the ability to help people de-stress and heal. Pets can help people.
